1. Bob Garrett made up a boxing career that never existed; he has never boxed a round; not as a pro or an amateur; Boxrec and Ring confirm he never fought under any name or alias;
2. Bob Garrett never coached; USA Boxing and the California Commission, where he claims to have coached, says their records show he was never a coach;
3. Bob Garrett lied about being a conscientious objector; Garrett had no clue what the criteria were or how to apply; he literally claimed he refused deployment, because of his opposition to french colonialism, and told the military he would have fought in a just war like WW2- JAG said no one in history got away with that.
4. Bob Garrett didn't even know what a DD214 was, so he lied about being in the service at all;
5. Garrett claimed he remained in the Marines after refusing to fight - the Marines have no non-combat MOS's, and this is an outrageous lie;
6. In his imaginary Marine Corps stint, Garrett claims he knocked out a fellow Marine hand picked to defeat him in a pugel stick fight because his “stomach was like iron,” and he unleashed his awesome strength on the guy;
7. Garrett claimed to have been a member of Vietnam Veteran’s Against the War, even though in the same answer he claimed he never went to Vietnam;
8. Bob Garrett said Mike Tyson lied about being born left handed, and that he, Garrett knew this because the earth orbits the sun, and all men are created equal;
9. Garrett claimed a dead welterweight named Kenny LaSalle confided in him how a Muay Thai fighter beat him up - only there is no record of any of that;
10. Bob Garrett claimed he lifted with Arnold's at Gold's, and advised the Gold's owner about boxing - the owner never heard of him and said none of it is true.
11. Bob Garrett claimed he was stabbed in a school cafeteria, and then beat his assailant unconscious at the school, but no administrators called either an ambulance for him, who was pouring blood, or the unconscious kid, but said, hey, its okay because he deserved it.
12. Garrett claimed two kids followed him, and he knocked them both out;
13. On Wednesday, November 6, he added a new fantasy claim, that he “crushed” another man with a left hook when he was a teenager;
14. Bob Garrett claimed that when an opponent for a ranked contender pulled out, he, BS Bob, stepped in with no training, no clothes, and in borrowed shorts, and borrowed shoes and with a borrowed protector “saved the show and knocked the contender out” - and there is no record of that either, of a guy coming in from the audience, having to borrow a jock strap, and knocking out a top ten contender;
15. Garrett claimed his brother built an igloo and set a fire in it, and they watched it burn down.
16. Bob Garrett claimed Joe Frazier died alone, homeless, of a heart attack, when the truth is Joe died in hospice care of cancer, surrounded by his loved ones;
17. Bob Garrett claimed 10 time award winning writer Tom Hauser made up a quote by Wilt Chamberlain, without any proof whatsoever, even though Wilt not only did not deny the quote, but was friends with Hauser until Wilt died.
18. Garrett claimed Bruce Lee killed himself, even though no one else in the world has ever even suggested that, and of course, there is no proof.
19. Bob Garrett made up quotes and completely false stories about and from Sonny Liston, Joe Frazier, Kenny LaSalle, Chuck Norris, and a whole army of people, living and dead. He has made up 3 quotes poor Sonny Liston never made, and changed every word he did say, solely for the purpose of villainizing him; when challenged he says “he heard it or he read it somewhere;”
20. Twice Bob Garrett has posted answers which attack a rape victim. He idiotically suggested vaginal abrasions and bruising were exterior injuries which could easily be self inflicted, not realizing they are internal, and he stated flatly the rape victim was a gold digger without any proof of any of it.
